What is naturopathy and how does it differ from conventional medicine?
Naturopaths look beyond symptoms to identify and treat underlying causes of illness by considering you as a whole.
Your practitioner will search for the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies to address your health concerns.
What can I expect from my first consultation?
An initial naturopathic consultation will take approximately one hour and will involve an extensive case history examination that investigates the following:
- Signs and symptoms
- Dietary and lifestyle issues
- Sleep patterns
- Bowel habits and pertinent physical exams such as blood pressure
- Pulse, iris, temp, etc.
After the case analysis the practitioner will create a treatment plan for the patient that utilises the most natural approaches.
What do naturopaths treat?
The range of disorders commonly treated by naturopaths includes (but is not limited to):
- Digestive complaints
- Mood disorders and depression
- Behavioral problems
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- High blood pressure
- Skin problems
Naturopaths treat a range of acute and chronic conditions such as fatigue, lack of vitality, stress, insulin resistance and diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hormone imbalances, detoxification and much more.
